# Tools overview

> The Perquery tools that turn findings into files, tags and plans that you put on your site.

The tools turn what Perquery finds about your site into output that you can use. Each tool works on the site that you select in the sidebar.

## The tools

| Tool | Sidebar group | Output |
| - | - | - |
| [**llms.txt Checker & Generator**](https://docs.perquery.ai/en/tools/llms-txt.md) | **Tools** | A check of your live `llms.txt` and a new `llms.txt` file |
| [**robots.txt Checker & Generator**](https://docs.perquery.ai/en/tools/robots-txt.md) | **Tools** | A table of AI bot permissions and a corrected `robots.txt` file |
| [**Meta Tag Generator**](https://docs.perquery.ai/en/tools/meta-tags.md) | **Growth** | Proposed title tags or meta descriptions for the pages that you select |
| [**Content Brief Generator**](https://docs.perquery.ai/en/tools/content-brief.md) | **Growth** | A content plan: headline, outline, questions, keywords and length |
| [**Schema Generator**](https://docs.perquery.ai/en/tools/schema.md) | **Growth** | Proposed JSON-LD structured data for the pages that you select |
| [**Content Generator**](https://docs.perquery.ai/en/tools/content-generator.md) | **Growth** | Not available yet. The sidebar shows it locked. |

## What the tools use

* The **Meta Tag Generator**, the **Schema Generator** and the **llms.txt Checker & Generator** use the pages that Perquery crawled on your site. Run a crawl from [Content Analysis](https://docs.perquery.ai/en/analyze/content-analysis.md) first.
* The **Content Brief Generator** uses your tracked [prompts](https://docs.perquery.ai/en/monitor/prompts.md) and [personas](https://docs.perquery.ai/en/monitor/personas.md).
* The two checkers read the live files on your domain.

## Generate and history

The **Meta Tag Generator**, the **Content Brief Generator** and the **Schema Generator** have two tabs:

* **Generate**: start a new run.
* **History**: open the stored runs. Each generation is stored there.

A run of these three tools continues on the server. You can leave the page and open the result later from **History**.

## Plan usage

* The **Meta Tag Generator** and the **Schema Generator** count each page that receives a proposal against your plan's allowance.
* The **Content Brief Generator** counts each stored brief against your plan's allowance.
* The two checkers and generators for `llms.txt` and `robots.txt` do not count against your plan's allowance.

The allowance depends on your plan. See [pricing](https://perquery.ai/en/pricing) and [Billing and plans](https://docs.perquery.ai/en/account/billing-and-plans.md).

## Open a tool from an opportunity

An [opportunity](https://docs.perquery.ai/en/act/opportunities.md) can suggest a tool. When you open the tool from the opportunity, Perquery fills in the page, the prompt or the bot for you.

## Measure the result

After you publish a change, add it to [Impact Tracking](https://docs.perquery.ai/en/act/impact-tracking.md). The **Content Brief Generator** and the **llms.txt Checker & Generator** show an **Add to Impact Tracking** button.
