# Introduction

> What Perquery is and which areas of the product you use to measure and improve your brand in AI answers.

Perquery measures how AI engines show your brand. It asks AI engines the questions that your buyers ask, and it reads each answer. You see if the answer names your brand, at which position, in which tone, and which competitors it names.

## What Perquery does

* Perquery sends your tracked prompts to the AI engines that you select, on a schedule.
* Perquery records each answer and finds your brand and your competitors in it.
* Perquery calculates metrics from the answers: visibility, share of voice, average rank and sentiment.
* Perquery checks your website the way AI crawlers read it, and shows the issues.
* Perquery gives you opportunities and tools to fix the issues, and tracks the impact of your changes.

For the terms on this page, see the [Glossary](https://docs.perquery.ai/en/glossary.md). For the data model, see [Concepts](https://docs.perquery.ai/en/concepts.md).
