# llms.txt and Markdown pages

> Give the Perquery documentation to an AI tool as llms.txt, as one full text file or as the Markdown version of a page.

The documentation site gives its content in formats that AI tools read well. Use these formats when you want an AI tool to answer from the documentation, or when you process the pages with your own code.

> [!NOTE]
>
> This page is about the files of this documentation site. To create an `llms.txt` file for your own website, use the [llms.txt tool](https://docs.perquery.ai/en/tools/llms-txt.md) of Perquery.

## llms.txt

The file `llms.txt` lists the pages of the documentation, with a link and a short description of each page. AI tools use it to find the page that answers a question.

```text theme={null}
https://docs.perquery.ai/llms.txt
```

* The file lists the pages in the order of the navigation.
* Each link goes to the Markdown version of the page.
* The file lists the English pages. The Turkish pages have the same paths under `/tr/`.

## llms-full.txt

The file `llms-full.txt` holds the full text of all pages in one file. Give this file to an AI tool when it must read all of the documentation at one time.

```text theme={null}
https://docs.perquery.ai/llms-full.txt
```

> [!WARNING]
>
> The file is large. Some AI tools cannot read all of it in one conversation. Use `llms.txt` or single Markdown pages for these tools.

## Markdown version of a page

Each page has a Markdown version. To open it, add `.md` to the page URL:

```text theme={null}
https://docs.perquery.ai/en/quickstart.md
```

You can also send the header `Accept: text/markdown` to the normal page URL:

```bash theme={null}
curl -H "Accept: text/markdown" https://docs.perquery.ai/en/quickstart
```

The Markdown version of a page in the **Endpoints** reference also includes the OpenAPI definition of the endpoint.

## Page menu

Each page has a menu at the top. Use it to give the page to an AI tool without copying the URL.

| Option | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Copy page** | Copies the page as Markdown. Paste it into an AI tool as context. |
| **View as Markdown** | Opens the Markdown version of the page. |
| **Open in ChatGPT** | Starts a ChatGPT conversation with the page as context. |
| **Open in Claude** | Starts a Claude conversation with the page as context. |
| **Open in Perplexity** | Starts a Perplexity conversation with the page as context. |
| **Copy MCP server URL** | Copies the address of the MCP server of the documentation. |
| **Connect to Cursor** | Adds the MCP server of the documentation to Cursor. |
| **Connect to VS Code** | Adds the MCP server of the documentation to VS Code. |

For the MCP server, read [Connect the docs to your AI assistant](https://docs.perquery.ai/en/ai/mcp.md).
