# AI engines

> Which AI engines Perquery measures, how you select them for a site and how you filter the results by engine.

An AI engine is an AI assistant or AI search product that Perquery asks your prompts. You select the AI engines for each site. Perquery measures only the AI engines that you select.

## Available AI engines

| AI engine | Shown in the setup as |
| - | - |
| ChatGPT | **ChatGPT** |
| Perplexity | **Perplexity** |
| Gemini | **Gemini** |
| Claude | **Claude** |
| Google AI Mode | **Google AI Mode** |

The setup also shows **Grok** and **DeepSeek** with the label **Coming soon**. You cannot select them in the setup.

Each AI engine answers with web search, as its app does for a user. Perquery asks for the market of the site: the country and the language that you set for the site.

## Select AI engines in the setup

When you set up a new site, step 4 asks for the AI engines.

**1. Open the AI engines step**

In the site setup, go to **Which AI engines matter for this brand?**.

**2. Select the engines**

Click each AI engine whose answers you want to measure. Click a selected engine again to clear it.

**3. Save the step**

Click **Continue**.

A new site starts with **ChatGPT** and **Gemini** selected. You must select one AI engine at minimum. The number of AI engines that you can track depends on your plan. See [perquery.ai/en/pricing](https://perquery.ai/en/pricing).

## Change the AI engines of a site

**1. Open the websites list**

Open the user menu and click **Websites**.

**2. Open the site settings**

On the card of the site, click **Configure**.

**3. Open the tracking tab**

Click **Tracking**.

**4. Select the engines**

Under **Tracked assistants**, select the AI engines to measure.

**5. Save**

Click **Save**.

The next scans ask the AI engines that you selected. Past scans keep their answers. For the other site settings, see [Site settings](https://docs.perquery.ai/en/sites/site-settings.md).

## Filter the results by AI engine

The pages that show measurement data have an **AI engine** filter at the top. The filter lists the AI engines that the site tracks. The default is **All engines**.

* Select one AI engine to see the results of that engine only.
* Select more than one AI engine to see the results of those engines together.

> [!WARNING]
>
> When you select only some AI engines, the numbers cover only those engines. Do not compare them with the numbers for **All engines**.

**Competitor Analysis** does not use the AI engine filter. Its figures always cover every persona and every AI engine.

To see the visibility of each AI engine, use **LLM Breakdown** on the **Performance Overview**. To see the answer of each AI engine for one prompt, open the prompt and go to **LLM-by-LLM results**. See [Dashboard](https://docs.perquery.ai/en/monitor/dashboard.md) and [Prompts](https://docs.perquery.ai/en/monitor/prompts.md).
